Pupdate The bad/sad news at the start of the month is that Milo’s back on chemotherapy; though it seems to be going well, and we’re already almost at the end of the first cycle. Apart from that the boys enjoyed some long walks before the weather turned. Navy Reunion It’s been 35 years since a […]

Two more months have rolled by since the last scan and Milo has enjoyed a nice summer of long walks and no vet visits (apart from his routine vaccinations). Sadly the most recent scan picked up some inflammation of the lymph nodes, which suggests that the cancer is back. But once again we’ve caught it […]

July 2024
Pupdate July (finally) brought some decent weather, at least for a bit, including our trip to the Lake District (more on that later). Milo also had his first post chemo scan, which looked good (and got its own post). Berlin part 2 After getting stranded in Berlin at the end of last month it was […]

It’s now been two months since Milo finished his second CHOP protocol, so he was back to the vets for another surveillance scan. It looked good, perhaps even a smidge better than the scan on the day of his last chemo :) A couple of milestones worth mentioning: Meanwhile we’re now up to date with […]

Today is Milo’s third birthday, which seems like a milestone worth celebrating :) It’s also two months since the last update, and he had the last dose of Doxorubicin to complete the second CHOP chemotherapy protocol on Tuesday. His weight has been stable, the cystitis subsided, no further complications, and no problems with neutrophils. So… […]

A few milestones have ticked by since the last update: That’s all good news. Though it comes against a background of some blood tests showing low neutrophil counts, which have led to delays in administering chemo, and more vet visits. Insurance ManyPets seem to have slipped back into taking months to process claims. The first […]

Milo’s scan at the end of last week showed some areas of concern, so it was back to the vets for a biopsy, which confirmed the reoccurrence of Mott cells. The lymphoma is sadly back, and so we’ve restarted chemotherapy with CHOP protocol again. We’d maybe got to a point where we were holding out […]

TL;DR Milo was only 18 months old when we noticed the lump on his neck, and it took some weeks to reach a diagnosis, but it seems that he has cancer (bad), specifically lymphoma (very bad), more specifically lymphoma with Mott cell differentiation (aka Mott cell lymphoma [MCL], which is maybe less awful than other […]
